Likewise the previous book "Little Elliot, Big City", this title also has that longing and a little gloomy atmosphere, yet heartwarming. The colour palettes and other elements illustrations are a bit dark, contrasted to Elliot and Mouse who both are painted white and so cute.
Elliot's story matches Sabio's preferences a lot. Sabio loves a story which features animals, especially cute animal, lion, tiger, and/or T-rex.

Elliot kecil, gajah berbintik-bintik, bangun tidur pada suatu hari di musim dingin yang cerah. Temannya, Mouse akan mengadakan reuni keluarga besar hari itu.
Setelah Mouse pergi, rumah Elliot tiba-tiba terasa sunyi dan kosong.
