There are a lot of interesting children's book in this world. When one of our wishlists is fulfilled, suddenly there are many new books that we also want to read. In order to maintain healthy spending, Mom must consider carefully when is the right time to buy a new book, or.. to go to a library, to borrow a book, to hunt at secondhand bookstore, to wander at books sale event, or just to patiently wait for rebates. And now, Mom has one more option. eBook.

Having a superb first impression of Sabio's first ever read-aloud picture eBook. Mom looked for more children's picture book titles on Play Book, marked some and (if it was still not on budget) then waited patiently for rebates. For imported books, sometimes their eBook are cheaper than the printed edition.

Luckily, that month, Mom found this title and also got another coupon. To find out whether Sabio would like the story or not, Mom read him the sample version. He was surprised when the next page was locked, and his face was full of curiosity. So Mom decided to buy it.

Stone Soup is such a hidden gem. The story is intriguing. It's classic and has lots of messages.

One day, the villagers heard that three soldiers was coming to their place. Afraid that the soldiers' hunger would deplete their stock of food, they were in a rush to hid all they had. And, they tried to look as hungry as possible in front of the soldiers who hadn't eaten for days.

The three soldiers didn't get any food from the villagers. Their request to stay overnight was also refused. They couldn't protest because every house had good reasons. But, they knew what they saw wasn't all true.

The soldiers decided to make some Stone Soup and the curious villagers started helping them.

Untung saja bulan itu, Mama menemukan judul ini dan juga mendapat kupon lagi. Untuk mengetahui apakah Sabio menyukai ceritanya atau tidak, Mama membacakan versi sampelnya. Sabio terkejut ketika halaman berikutnya terkunci, dan wajahnya penuh rasa ingin tahu. Jadi Mama memutuskan untuk membeli ebook ini.

Stone Soup adalah permata tersembunyi. Ceritanya menarik. Klasik dan memiliki banyak pesan.

Suatu hari, penduduk desa mendengar bahwa tiga tentara datang ke tempat mereka. Karena takut kelaparan para prajurit akan menghabiskan persediaan makanan mereka, mereka buru-buru menyembunyikan semua yang mereka miliki. Dan, mereka berusaha terlihat selapar mungkin di depan para prajurit yang tidak makan selama berhari-hari.

Ketiga tentara itu tidak mendapatkan makanan dari penduduk desa. Permintaan mereka untuk menginap juga ditolak. Mereka tidak bisa protes karena setiap rumah punya alasan yang bagus. Tapi, mereka tahu apa yang mereka lihat tidak semuanya benar.

Para prajurit memutuskan untuk membuat Stone Soup (sop batu) dan penduduk desa yang penasaran mulai membantu mereka.
